We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a Digital Programs Specialist within Virtual Services for a secondment opportunity until 3 March 2026. This position can be based at any Kids Helpline site - Milton, Blacktown or Docklands.
This is an excellent opportunity to use your practice expertise, creativity and communication skills to contribute to service and practice improvements that enhance service user and staff experiences.
Reporting to the Specialist Programs Manager, this role has responsibility for providing specialist knowledge and expertise to further the development of all Virtual Services programs.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Contribute to the ongoing continuous improvement of Virtual Services programs
• Undertake research and design activities that ensure evidence informed and human centred design thinking is applied
• Work alongside colleagues to develop a deep understanding of service users experiences, usage contexts, feedback and needs of services
• Facilitate codesign and ideation workshops with young people, team members and other key stakeholders
• Contribute to the ongoing review and development of Virtual Services digital platform, practice frameworks, processes and procedures, including the creation of new content and resources
• Contribute to the development and delivery of training
• Provide practice guidance and support
• Collaborate with team members to plan project activities
• Foster relationships with stakeholders to support collaborative solution generation and implementation
• Project and change coordination and planning activities
To be successful in this role you will need:
• Bachelor level qualification in psychology, social work, counselling, human services or similar and a minimum of 3 years counselling or social work experience in a virtual setting
• Demonstrated professional development, skills and/or experience in areas of specialist practice
• Demonstrated experience in decision making and problem solving regarding service delivery of virtual support channels and platforms
• Previous experience in mentoring and coaching
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a high degree of accountability
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects and priorities
This position is classified as a “day worker”, working Monday to Friday only.
