Your Key Responsibilities
The Senior Marketing Specialist works across the full marketing mix to design and deliver marketing and behaviour change campaigns.
You’ll be developing campaigns to help customers save water in their homes, access support to pay their bills and promote the benefits of tap water. In doing so, you’ll enhance Yarra Valley Water’s relationships with staff, customers and drive positive social and environmental change in the community.
A strategic thinker, you’ll design targeted campaigns, drawing out key insights and translating strategic priorities into marketing campaigns. Your passion for identifying new opportunities will enable you to engage with complex topics and translate them into engaging experiences for a broad range of audiences.
Key functions include;
- Lead and execute direct 1-1 marketing campaigns from start to finish, focusing on optimizing performance and boosting customer engagement. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar is desirable
- Designing and delivering campaign strategies, activities and programs spanning advertising, social media, public relations, events and direct communications
- Craft clear, compelling audience-centric communications for advertisements, social media, emails, website and direct mail.
- Manage relationships with agencies and project stakeholders
- Preparing presentations, project plans and board papers
- Managing budgets, approvals and procurement processes
- Contributing to innovation and continuous improvement across the business
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations and at least 7 years’ experience working in a marketing, communications or campaigns role.
You will have demonstrated experience designing and implementing behaviour change or social marketing, taking a confident approach to developing campaigns in an ambiguous environment. A motivated self-starter, you will thrive in setting a fast pace and can work between competing priorities. You will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, setting timelines, balancing priorities and working to deadlines and budgets.
You will have experience in directing advertising, design and public relations agencies to deliver projects. You will be nimble and creative and able to create maximum exposure and awareness for water saving initiatives, whether they be big or small.
With a customer-centric mindset, you’ll be results focused, resilient, excellent communicator (particularly written) and able to build relationships and influence at all levels.
