The HDI Communications, Marketing and Events Manager will be responsible for executing and supporting corporate communications, strategic marketing and event initiatives to enhance brand visibility and engagement. This role involves coordinating internal and external communications, developing marketing materials, managing digital and traditional marketing channels, and supporting the planning and execution of corporate events. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and effective HDI brand representation across various platforms.
Key responsibilities and duties will include (but not limited to):
Communications
- Working with the Head of Market Management Australasia to develop and execute communication strategies that align with corporate goals.
- Manage relationships with media outlets and handle press releases, interviews, and media inquiries.
- Crafting and disseminating messages to HDI staff (including newsletters) to ensure alignment and engagement.
- Creating compelling content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters.
- Write, edit, and manage articles for submission to publications such as business news platforms.
- Draft and distribute internal newsletters to keep staff informed and engaged.
- Manage and update company website and social media platforms
Marketing
- Order and maintain promotional products in collaboration with the Head of Market Management Australasia.
- Control and regulate the distribution of promotional items (including stocktake).
- Research and propose marketing items suitable for market distribution.
- Develop and manage marketing collateral to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
- Design and coordinate advertisements to enhance brand visibility.
- Oversee LinkedIn content creation, scheduling, and engagement, ensuring consistency with brand messaging.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly reports for internal and external audiences.
- Provide Key Account Manager (KAM) support, including preparing presentation materials and client-facing collateral.
Events Management
- Coordinate both internal and external Lunch and Learn events, introducing topics, facilitating discussions and ensuring a professional setup.
- Prepare agendas and facilitate invitations for event attendees, ensuring proper follow-up.
- Coordinate catering, suppliers, and venue arrangements for all events.
- Ensure all equipment, such as laptops, screens, and microphones, are set up and tested before events.
- Create and deliver engaging presentations, reports, and event materials as required.
- Act as the primary host for client-facing events, introducing speakers, topics, and engaging with attendees.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years’ of experience in marketing, communications, or events management.
- Ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple events and campaigns simultaneously.
- High-quality preparation and delivery of presentations for client-facing and internal events.
- Timely and accurate completion of communications and marketing materials.
- Maintenance of professionalism and adaptability in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence and professionalism in public speaking and client interactions.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Creativity and innovation in marketing and event strategies.
