Our software manages the mountains of emails, documents and data created around some of Australia and New Zealand’s most complex and awe-inspiring infrastructure projects, such as Sydney’s NorthConnex.

We have a thriving and extremely loyal international customer base of approximately 10,000+ users across ANZ, which you will help to support and grow.

About This Opportunity

We are now looking for a Senior Developer to join our Development team. The role is full time and will be based out of our French’s Forest office.

The Senior developer is responsible for maintaining existing versions of 12d Synergy as well as the development, design and implementation of new development projects in line with the product roadmap.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Designing and developing new features selected from the roadmap in conjunction with the lead developer
Performing maintenance and resolving bugs
Ensuring code is checked in to source control
Ensuring changes are logged in the appropriate change tracking system
Partaking in code review after significant changes
Adhere to the strategies of agile development
Writing test cases in line with general development processes
Offer technical advice to the support team as required
Allocate areas of functionality for the test team to test
Implementing new testing practices to help ensure quality
Review test scripts to ensure they are accurate and useful
Pursue other avenues for ongoing testing of the system
Deliver informative and well-organised reports/presentations on the progress of any assigned activity
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
Tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information
Communicate with clients on support-based issues
Provide regular updates in agile story meetings

Assisting and coaching the junior developers in the 12d Synergy platform and general development processes

Working closely with the Lead Developer and acting as a trusted advisor to the Development team.

The Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study, or equivalent work experience
Successful track record of developing quality software products
Extensive experience with Net development using C#, with experience with WinForms and WCF
Experience writing SQL queries for SQL Server
Experience programming for cloud environments desirable
Experience with Angular desirable
Ability to use version control software such as GIT
Ability to design, develop and implement unit and scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development
Solid understanding of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model
The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience (technical or non-technical)
A fantastic team player with a positive attitude
